Nicola Bannister

Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director

Nicola Bannister was appointed TSB Chief Executive Officer and joined the TSB Board in May 2026.

Nicola has over 20 years of experience in Financial Services working across retail, insurance, investments and business banking. Nicola joined TSB in 2022, becoming a member of the TSB Executive Committee in 2024, and has held a number of leadership roles covering economic crime, customer and financial support, and key enterprise-wide services including planning, performance and assurance for TSB.

Prior to joining TSB, Nicola worked in Lloyds Banking Group where her most recent roles had included Collections Effectiveness Director and Network Director for the Lloyds and Bank of Scotland branch network. More broadly, she has experience in senior roles delivering effective customer, cultural and risk management transformation in complex and regulated businesses.

Nicola is an experienced Non-Executive Director, previously serving on the Board of Avenues Group, a UK charity which supports individuals with autism, learning disability, acquired brain injuries or complex needs to live fulfilling lives in their communities. Nicola is currently a member of the Council of the British School at Athens, a UK charity which conducts, promotes and facilitates inter-disciplinary research pertaining to Greek lands. Nicola also holds a PhD in Classics and a post-graduate qualification in Economics.
