5-step security check

Keep your hard-earned cash safe and sound.

1. Login securely

  • Use the TSB Mobile Banking app to do your banking - and log in with biometrics (FaceID or fingerprint) if you can.
  • Or log in on the official TSB website - https://tsb.co.uk - it has https:// at the beginning which means it's secure.

2. Keep your software up to date

  • Install the latest operating system updates on your mobile phone.
  • Make sure you have the latest version of the TSB Mobile Banking app.
  • Install updates to your computer operating system and turn on automatic update for your browser.
  • Install anti-virus software on your computer.

3. Protect your PIN, user ID, password

  • Never share your PIN, digital banking password or username with anyone, not even TSB staff.
  • Create a password that's different from any others you use.
  • Make sure you use strong passwords, for example 3 random words. For help on passwords visit the Cyber Security Agency.
  • We will never ask you for your full pin, password or memorable information. If you call us, we may ask for certain characters of your memorable information to verify your identity.

4. Don't overshare on social media

  • Don’t share your address, date of birth or other sensitive personal details. Someone could use them to apply for bank loans or credit cards in your name.
  • Review your privacy settings to see who you're sharing with.

5. Think before you move or send money

  • If anyone is insisting you move money or send money... don't.
  • Even if it sounds like someone you know, double check it is really them. Ask a question only they would know the answer to.
  • Whether it’s by phone, email or text – be on your guard. It’s your hard earned cash.
